| Where to start.
1. At the beginning of this year I am asking that you complete an assessment of your technological readiness. At the end of the semester make sure that you complete this assessment again by returning to that tool and completing an end of the semester assessment. This instrument can be found at http://lewis.up.edu/edu/carroll/survey/.
2. As a requirement for the Supporting Learning With Technology course, you are required to complete a portfolio of your work that demonstrates progress in meeting the NET Standards. In order to facilitate that process I have developed a description of the materials that you should include on a page of your portfolio, as well as a template that could be used for completing this requirement.
3. The NETS materials describe 6 specific areas that each contain performance indicators. As you reflect on your developing technological literacy so far in the program, please do so separately for each area. There are multiple indicators for each of the areas. In your narrative for each area please respond to each indicator with which you are competent, and describe your process of achieving competence.
4. Throughout each of the 6 areas you are asked to furnish as many exhibits as possible that provide evidence of your competence in meeting the standards. For this evaluation you are asked to provide a link either within your narratives, or on the additional line at the bottom of each area. For those exhibits not possible to post online, please provide a careful description in your narrative.
5. The last element in this self-assessment is a final overarching reflection on the work that you have done throughout the semester. Here you can reflect on those elements of the course outcomes not directly mentioned in the NETS. This is a public page and so I do not want you to be overly critical of your self or others in this forum.
6. When you have completed this page and have integrated it into your website, please email me the URL, and include as an attachment or as text, a supplemental reflection on the level and quality of your work this semester. It is in this email that I would like you to include a final grade for yourself.
