Objective
  By the end of this WebQuest, Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of volcanic layers by finding the required information in the provided websites and reconstructing a volcano with the provided materials.
 

Procedures

1)  The teacher will have students in teams of four in order for them to act as a volcano research team.

2)  The teacher will have the needed materials on a table, where students may easily access them during the appropriated times.

3)  The students will collaborate in a group and use the resources linked from the WebQuest to identify the layers of a volcano.

4)  The students will work as a team to recreate a volcano using the provided materials.

Evaluation

In teams, students will present their findings to the class and then describe their experiences with the class.
The students will be evaluated based on the finished project and on the process, which is described more thoroughly in the class rubric.
